Phase 1 - Gap Analysis

  • Assessment of current programs compared to BRC Code Requirements 
  • Completion of detailed plant inspection to evaluate compliance to the seven fundamental BRC requirements
  • Completion of the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Audit Spreadsheets for Fundamentals 1-7 other than 4 and Fundamental 4 for Site Standards
  • Completion of the Plant Inspection Report
  • Completion of BRC Executive Overview and Priority List

Phase 2 - Program Development

  • Documentation of the BRC Policy Manual to include customized procedures for each BRC requirement
  • Creation of records needed to support the BRC system
  • Creation of the 28 required risk assessments 

Phase 3 - Implementation

  • Assure proper implementation of all required programs and records
  • Complete coaching with each departmental manager to prepare them for expected audit questions and appropriate responses
  • Complete mock audit of process
  • Develop Recommended Audit Strategy Checklist

Phase 4 – Audit Support

  • This phase is very beneficial for clients to serve as a liaison with the auditor, keep the audit process balanced, and reduce the quantity and severity of potential non-conformances identified.
  • Successful completion of this phase helps assure the client you will be eligible for annual recertification audits rather than have to be subjected to a surveillance audit twice per year which reduces long term cost and audit frustrations.

  • Chilton Consulting Group can complete the annual system review required by the Code prior to your recertification audit to assure readiness. We can also assist during your recertification audit to help reduce the quality and severity of non-conforming issues.
