CHANGES TO SCHEDULE OF OPERATIONS REGULATIONS

Effective November 26, 2012, FSIS regulations will define the 8-hour workday for inspection program personnel as including time needed to prepare their inspection stations. These preparations, as described in the final rule issued September 27, 2012, may also include time necessary for IIP to retrieve and return lot tally sheets, sharpen knives and conduct duties scheduled by FSIS, including administrative activities.
