This system has been developed by a group of leading consultants, sanitarians, professors, and companies in the food industry. Audits are effective for companies, co-packers, suppliers, and warehouses. Audits can be customized for particular companies based in your individual needs. Specific modules are available to analyze food safety, food quality, quality systems, and bio-security of ready-to-eat products. Each audit independently measures the adequacy of the written programs, implementation, and records to assure the system has been effectively designed, implemented, and verified. Specific modules of the Food Safety and Quality Audit include: I. Prerequisite Programs including Sanitation, Pest Control, Maintenance, Receiving and Storage, Facilities and Equipment, Product and Processing, and Personnel. II. HACCP Plan including the written plan, implementation & record keeping, and on site HACCP Plan Verification. IV. Regulatory Compliance V. Processing Quality and Safety VI. Administration Specific modules are added for the type of process being audited (i.e. Processing, Slaughter, Canning, and Warehouse). Each module is scored against points available. Deficiencies are classified as minor, major, or critical when identified. The audit score is summarized by each module and a total score and rating of Acceptable, Improvement Potential, Improvement Needed, or Unacceptable. We also perform Sanitation Audits to measure the effectiveness of sanitation procedures, chemical applications, sanitizing procedures, pre-operational effectiveness and the Microbial Monitoring Program.
