Phase 1 - Gap Analysis
- Assessment of current programs compared to SQF Code Requirements
- Completion of detailed plant inspection to evaluate compliance to Section 5 requirements
- Completion of the SQF Document Audit Spreadsheet and Plant Inspection Report.
- Completion of SQF Executive Overview and Priority List
Phase 2 - Program Development
- Documentation of the SQF Policy Manual to include 41 sections of customized procedures for each SQF requirement in Section 4 Food Safety Fundamentals and Section 6 Prerequisite Programs.
- Creation of records needed to support the SQF system
- Creation of the 8 required registers for Document Control, Raw Material Specifications, Packaging Material Specifications, Finished Product Specifications, Contract Services Register, Glass Register, Training Register, and Approved Supplier Register.
Phase 3 - Implementation
- Assure proper implementation of all required programs and records
- Complete coaching with each departmental manager to prepare them for expected audit questions and appropriate responses
- Complete mock audit of process
- Develop Recommended Audit Strategy Checklist
Phase 4 – Audit Support
- Chilton Consulting Group can be on site during the Document and Facility Certification Audits to provide liaison support and assistance during the audits.
- This phase is very beneficial for clients to serve as a liaison with the auditor, keep the audit process balanced, and reduce the quantity and severity of potential non-conformances identified.
- Successful completion of this phase helps assure the client you will be eligible for annual recertification audits rather than have to be subjected to a surveillance audit twice per year which reduces long term cost and audit frustrations.
Already Certified?
- Chilton Consulting Group can complete the annual SQF system review required by the Code prior to your recertification audit to assure readiness. We can also assist during your recertification audit to help reduce the quality and severity of non-conforming issues.
